I never shared this beautiful baby shower from a few months ago…

I’ve really been enjoying playing around with some of my vintage film cameras lately…I love the soft colors that come through and there is just something magical about having to wait a few days to see the images. I’ve only been snapping a couple shots here and there but it’s been really fun!  and since its Friday I thought I would share a few :)

Grandma called me for quick last minute session when her grandkids would be visiting from Holland but it almost didn’t happen with all of the rain we were having!  Thankfully, the afternoon before they flew home the rain let up, it was beautiful out and we were able to get some great shots of them together…

So 2010 flew by in a FLASH but I think it was a pretty awesome year!  I had a ton of wonderful sessions and loved every one of them…so I am really looking forward to what 2011 has in store :)

I was surprised by looking back on the rest of the year (the little bit of time in between all of those sessions) and realizing how much we accomplished as a family.  Last January Rosalie was only 4 months old and “resolutions” were the last thing on my mind!  but without even setting any major goals at the beginning of the year a bunch of things I’ve wanted to do for a long time were actually accomplished…

1. Our whole family has gone “gluten free”…what started out as a suspected food allergy for Lorelai quickly became a way of life for the rest of us. It’s made a huge difference for her and that is soooooo worth all of the hard work :)

2. Another way got a little healthier in the kitchen was by getting rid of the microwave…we replaced it with a toaster oven last April and haven’t looked back!

3. The baby weight is finally gone! After 7 years of carrying around 25 extra pounds I reached my pre-pregnancy (times three) weight in July and have kept it off so far. Hopefully I can keep it up!

4. We replaced the TV with the piano…I love our living room so much more now that we can listen to Preston playing the piano!

5. Last but not least we took a family vacation to Seattle to visit with my Grandparents and it was the highlight of the year! it was the kids’ 1st plane trip and getting to spend time with family that we hardly ever see was priceless :)

We also celebrated birthdays, took some weekend trips, saw movies, played games, had ballet recitals and t-ball games, painted pictures, went on field trips, snuggled with Rosalie (a lot!) and drank approximately 1,247 hazelnut lattes to survive it all :)

Our 2010 was definitely one crazy, hectic, fun-filled year and I have a feeling 2011 is going to be the same…I wouldn’t have it any other way!   I hope all of you had a wonderful year as well and that this next one is just as good to you. HAPPY NEW YEAR! xoxo, Lia

**nothing could say Happy New year better than our Christmas card right?? haha…a big thank you to my sister Zoe (or “wo wo” as Rosalie calls her) for snapping that shot of all 5 of us!**

I’m super tired and about to head off to bed but these shots of one of my favorite little guys were just too cute to pass up tonight…

This little guy is lucky enough to have musicians for parents and will get to hear so much beautiful music growing up!
